More and more plus size brands are opening up and starting out, and lots of high street stores are also expanding their sizes to include plus size ranges too. Here are some new (ish) or lesser known plus size brands that you may not have come across before…
Another brand by the Phase 8 house, Studio 8 is aimed at plus size women. They started out with a pretty small collection, but it’s growing season on season and there are some seriously lovely pieces in their plus size collection now. Just like the Phase 8 shop, Studio 8 is particularly good for formal plus size dresses and smarter occasion dresses too.
A discount online clothing store with a great plus size range. Because a lot of these pieces are shipped from Asia (we think) the sizing can be a bit off at times – so it’s best to size up if you’re unsure. The quality varies, but we’ve sampled an order ourselves and only 2 out of 8 pieces were unwearable. The rest were pretty good and especially worth it for the price!
A vintage clothing brand (not real vintage – but vintage style). Lots of pretty 1950s style dresses and very flattering shapes and patterns. Great for busty ladies, and if you’re a little self conscious of your tummy area. Perfect dresses for summer, and weddings. Also very affordable!
If you grew up with River Island as a teenager, you might not have realised that they now have a really great plus size collection. The pieces are really current and on-trend (nothing frumpy!) and they update the collection every season with fresh new pieces. What we love about this brand is the pieces are slightly edgy and cool – which can be hard to find in plus size fashion!
If you love bright, beautiful, eye-catching clothing then the Monif C brand is going to be a new favourite! Their clothes are made to flatters your curves and really show them off – so they make great pieces for nights out and holidays too!
